Project: To investigate market opportunities for a new scanning services division for a firm that offers social services evaluation, policy analysis, research, and training.

Process: Interviews were conducted with professionals in private, public, and nonprofit sectors as well as NPC staff to determine market need and positioning for scanning services. Competitive analysis was also performed to identify potential opportunities.

Results: Research indicated a potential market for a full-service survey center. Scanning services would be a part of this center, and customers could choose to use all of the services from survey development to reporting or just one service such as scanning.
